Resources to Support Students
Staff and faculty at UMN are committed to preventing sexual misconduct and supporting survivors. Here are some resources that can help.

Canvas Settings for Instructors:
Instructors can customize Canvas settings to restrict the amount of information that students can see about other students. This may be useful if there are safety concerns among students in your course.
- From the Main course page click >> 'Settings' at the very bottom of the left options panel
- At the top bar of this page click >> 'Navigation'
- By dragging 'People' or 'NameCoach' to the bottom section using the three dots on the right of each section tab, you can hide student enrollment from public view to any course member.
Support Services for Staff & Faculty
Staff and faculty at UMN-TC are also eligible to seek services at Aurora if they are experiencing sexual misconduct or supporting another survivor. Please reach out to us for an appointment. For mental health support, employees can seek a professional through the Employee Assistance Program.
