Men's Engagement Initiative

Our Goals

The men’s engagement initiative’s goals are to create programs, trainings, and outreach that engage men, masculine, and male-identified folks on campus. Areas of focus include prevention of sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, & sexual harassment, as well as education and dialogue about bystander intervention, authentic masculinities, survivor support, and gender equality. This initiative welcomes engagement from individuals of all gender identities.

Focus areas:

  • Provide awareness and services to male-identified victim/survivors.
  • Educate and encourage men as allies in prevention through bystander intervention, peer-to-peer accountability, and pro-social behaviors.
  • Examine social norms alongside community values of empathy and respect.

Masculine Allies Respecting Consent and Healthy Relationships Month (M.A.R.C.H.)

During the month of March in supplement with Women’s History Month, we celebrate Masc. Allies Respecting Consent and Healthy Relationships Month (MARCH) and highlight the essential role of masculine allies in sexual violence prevention. Masculine allies challenge harmful gender norms, increase support for male survivors, and contribute to a culture of inclusion and safety for all.
